Can we consider music to be literature? How do we define literature? What is the difference between a novel, a poem, a rap, a song, an opera, and a symphony?
~ Literature is "writings in which expression and form, in connection with ideas of permanent and universal interest, are characteristic or essential features, as poetry, novels, history, biography, and essays." Music also has the characteristics of literature. A novel, a rap, a song, and a symphony are all related because of this concept. Like literature, music can use words to tell a story. Music can make someone feel sad or mad, just with the lyrics.
