The first two chapters of this novel is mainly about the main character and his view of things. Holden is a person that is really straight froward, he speaks what's in his mind even though he sometimes says things that can be really inappropriate. Holden describes his brother as a writer and that is rich with a jaguar. Holden talks to Mr. Spencer and he tells Holden about his future, but Holden doesn't really like people caring for him because he walked off from his history teacher. He's just not use to having someone care for him.
